I have always known that in the course of life, it is compulsory and definitely unavoidable that, at times, we slip and fall. In some instances, we run down the descent that is called a steep valley only to collide at the bottom successfully and either end up face down, whispering to the muds of life that have formed creamed cake of forlorn and despair in some person intelligent QUEST for POT of DESTINY or we end up face up, with the sky of opportunities opens wide before us and light, the sun and the moon, to give us hope. Sometimes it baffles me that while many are seeking answers to their present state of dissatisfaction, others who definitely become great are asking themselves questions.
Questions Make the Difference
When I was often caught in the web of uncertainty and doubt about my quest for wisdom and skillful knowledge in the possession and creation of wealth, I made a startling discovery that it was the questions Iasked myself and not the more meaningful answers. Let’s consider these lines of thought.
Q1-Is This the Best I Can Be?
A bird cannot grow more significant than its cage neither can the fish in a pond understand the beauty in the perilous ocean;indeed, you cannot exceed your expectations in life when you feel you have arrived and this is the best you can be. If the only pool of success you know is yours, my friend, you need to step out and see thevastness of the open ocean; Better still, you need to fly higher to see the unending horizon, what will take you from this state of stupor or from what I term the rigour mortis of the brain is the question you ask yourself…….’IS THIS THE BEST I CAN BE?’
Q2-Who Said It Could Not Be Done?
I have often had my great dreams, and visions brought down to -30oCelsius by people whose minds are numbed with littleness and by those who see only the impossibilities in every quest. Anyway,I don’t
blame them; how do you expect your vision of 1000ft by 2500ft to be comprehensible to a mind of 10ft by 5ft? But I can wipe clean the slime they spread over my dream by asking myself the question….’WHO SAID IT COULD NOT BE DONE? And tell me what great victories he has to his credit which qualifies him to judge what can and can’t be done.
Q3-What’s Stopping You?
Have you ever had these great feeling that comes like a thief in the night, which makes you feel that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to do, a good form of superiority complex, but shockingly that feeling is gone, and you are still where you don’t like to be, I do know that greatness is like the waters of the ocean. Everyone has the opportunity of drawing a cup-full, so may I ask…WHAT’S STOPPING YOU?
Q4-Does This Look Like What I Want?
At times at the restaurant, we order a portion of food, and when we see what our friends ordered, we wish we have ordered the same thing. I do know that success is not getting what your friend has; that is covetousness; instead, success is the progressive achievement of what the creator designed you to be. So look at who you are now, what you are and where you are and ask yourself…’DOES THIS LOOK LIKE WHAT I WANT?’ If not, get up and get out and get going.
Q5-Am I Stupid?
Every man has this quest to be an achiever but hidden in every Question is the QUEST we all hope to grasp and attain. Jimmy Dean unforgivably said, "For true success, ask yourself these four questions: Why? Why not? Why not me? Why not now? Then I ask, Am I Stupid? It’s time to step up.
Self Motivation – The Key to Success
Self-motivation refers to the ability to motivate oneself to take action towards a goal or objective without the need for external influence.
Failures Cuisine – What Is Failure?
Failures Cuisine – Life sometimes thrusts various opportunities and threats that enable us to achieve our varied dreams or set goals.
